Description

All users are given 10GB of file storage which is referred to as the user’s home directory.  This file space is shared to all the Systems in the CSIF as /home/username, where username is the user’s campus computing account name.  

Please backup the files you want to retain on a regular basis.  

Please be responsible by removing unneeded files and not storing personal material on this file system.  

Features/Benefits

  • The user’s files are on every system in the CSIF shared using NFS
  • The file space has a journaling file system which is like a backup
    • Hourly backups are kept for 96 hours
    • Daily backups are kept for 7 days
    • Weekly backups are kept for 8 weeks
    • Monthly backup are kept for 6 months
